Rod Coburn III

Rotary 5230 District Governor Rod Coburn III

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all District 5230 Rotarians the very best during this holiday season and to thank each and every one of you for your generosity, hard work, and fellowship during the first six months of the year!

Get out your calendars because there are some important dates coming up.

February 2, 8 and 9, 2020

In February we will be hosting three different Pre-PETs sessions in Salinas, Fresno, and Visalia.

The sessions are for Presidents-Elect who will be serving in 2020-2021 and will run from 9 am to 2 pm each day. There is no charge and complimentary continental breakfast and box lunch will be provided. Registration materials will be sent out during the first week of January.

March 6, 7 and 8, 2020

PETS will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose beginning with Registration on Friday morning and concluding with a Closing Session on early Sunday afternoon.  All Presidents-Elect must complete attendance requirement at PETS in order to serve as president of their club so if a PE is unable to attend our PETS, other arrangements must be made to attend a PETS in another region.  Any PE who will not be able to attend our March PETS, and any president who is serving a 2-year assignment, should contact me immediately.  Registration for PETS is open now and all incoming AGs and PEs are encouraged to register immediately.

March 28, 2020

This year’s CTA (formerly CLTA) will be held on Saturday, March 28 at Central High School, East Campus in Fresno.  This is the same location that we have used for the past several years and the session will run from 9 am to 3 pm.  All district clubs are encouraged to participate by sending their entire leadership team as well as any club members who intend to take on leadership roles in the future.  Many clubs count CTA as their weekly meeting and go dark on their regular meeting day so that their members may attend the event.  There will be no charge for the event and registration will be open after the first of the year.  A complimentary continental breakfast and box lunch will be served.

I’d like to thank everyone on the current leadership team and the incoming leadership team for your support in ensuring that our PE’s and our Clubs get all the information and training they need to have a successful Rotary year in 2020-2021.
